| Safety wear is a neccesary part of the life of a greyhound. Since walking is a daily part of life, no matter what the weather, an eye should be kept on safety. Walking at night along a dark road or along city streets, etc. it is best to have your dog wear bright colors. "Safety Orange" is well known for being seen quite a distance off...Drivers are usually visually fixed on the road and a dog darting into the street can be seen a good way off ... or while walking in parks, woods etc, the natural colors of the greyhound are meant to blend into the scenery...not a good thing is your dog slips his collar and gets away. Not to mention hunters who have been known to shoot at dogs, thinking they were deer. SO PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND...
